Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, GLOW 2016

Ready, Set, GLOW! A Progressive Holiday Lighting Event

Downtown Tulsa continues its growth as a hotspot for holiday activities. With a full schedule of events in the IDL throughout the season, downtown districts are coming together for one special night of holiday festivities.

 

Lighting at 5:30 pm – Reconciliation Park, 321 N. Detroit Ave.
Mayor, First lady and City Councilors

The program begins at 5:15pm with live music, singers, and spoken word. Followed by special unity lighting taking place as the lights turn on.

ROUTE A

Lighting at 6:00 pm – Guthrie Green, 111 E. M.B. Brady St., Brady Arts District

Mayor and First Lady
The second stop on the tour is Guthrie Green’s “Glow on the Green,” featuring a special Holiday Pop-Up Market, Live Music, Karaoke, and unique holiday eats. The Brady Arts District will also host the annual “Nog Off” competition for the benefit of the Emerson Elementary School Art Department.

Lighting at 6:20 pm, Blue Dome District, corner of 2nd and Elgin

At the same time, we stop by the historic Blue Dome Building and many of the restaurants, bars and retail that make up this exciting district. You can look forward to specials; warm drinks and you can buy a special Blue Dome annual ornament.

Helping wrap this gift up is the East Village District with its charming atmosphere, restaurants and bars.

The Deco District’s “S’mores on Boston” will help conclude the tour.  Expect the traditional “S'mores Stations,” First Presbyterian Choir Carolers, Santa special appearance

Lighting of the park at 6th, and ringing of the church bells.
